Cause

The Store application version requires a minimum ServiceNow family release that is newer than your current instance version (e.g., app requires Utah but instance is on Tokyo). (high likelihood)

The application version you're trying to install has not been certified or tested for your current ServiceNow family release. (high likelihood)

Your instance family release information is outdated or incorrectly cached, causing the Store to misidentify your version compatibility. (medium likelihood)

The application has been deprecated or withdrawn from support for your current family release by the vendor. (medium likelihood)

There's a temporary synchronization issue between the ServiceNow Store and your instance's release information. (low likelihood)

Fix

Step 1: Navigate to System Diagnostics > Stats and verify your current ServiceNow family release version displayed in the Instance Information section.

Step 2: In the ServiceNow Store, check the application's Requirements tab to see the minimum family release needed and compare it with your current version.

Step 3: If your instance is on an older family release, check if a compatible version of the app exists by reviewing the Version History in the Store application details.

Step 4: Clear your browser cache and ServiceNow session, then log back in and retry the installation to resolve any temporary caching issues.

Step 5: If you need the latest app version, plan and execute an instance upgrade to the required family release following ServiceNow's upgrade documentation.

Step 6: Contact the application vendor through the Store if no compatible version exists but you believe one should be available for your release.

Step 7: As a last resort, check if the application functionality can be replicated through custom development or alternative Store applications compatible with your release.
