Privacy Policy
Sourdough Chrome Extension for ServiceNow
Bottom line: We don’t collect your personal data. Period. This extension works entirely with data you already have access to in ServiceNow.
What We Don’t Collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
- Your personal information (name, email, phone, address)
- Your ServiceNow credentials or passwords
- Your ServiceNow data (tickets, users, configuration items)
- Your browsing history or activity outside ServiceNow
- Your location or device information
- Any financial or payment information
What Gets Stored Locally
The extension stores the following data only on your device using Chrome’s storage:
- Trial start date (to manage 14-day free trial)
- ServiceNow instance URLs you’ve connected to
- Cached ServiceNow system data (for performance)
- Your preferences (dark mode, default tabs)
This data never leaves your browser and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension.
How the Extension Works
The extension connects to ServiceNow instances you specify using your existing browser authentication. It makes read-only API calls to retrieve system metrics and health data. All communication happens directly between your browser and your ServiceNow instance.
Payment Processing
Payments are handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We never see or store your payment information. When you upgrade to premium, we only receive a “paid status” indicator – no financial details.
Third-Party Services
If you become a paying customer, payments are handled securely via Stripe.com
This extension integrates with:
- ExtensionPay: Handles subscription management (privacy policy: extensionpay.com/privacy)
- Stripe: Processes payments (privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy)
- ServiceNow: Your organization’s ServiceNow instance (subject to your company’s privacy policies)
Data Security
Since we don’t collect data, there’s minimal security risk. The extension operates read-only within your existing ServiceNow permissions. All cached data is stored locally using Chrome’s secure storage APIs.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date below. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
